New Membership Class The purpose of the New Membership Class is to begin the spiritual training of children who have made a profession of faith. The four classes in the workbook called, “Now that I’m a Christian” helps child answer questions. LESSON ONE: Becoming A Christian LESSON TWO: Following Jesus’ Example LESSON THREE: Church, What’s That? LESSON FOUR: Spending Time With God Children’s New Member class meets each month (except December) over four weeks. At least one parent must attend the classes with their child(ren). After completing Children’s Membership 101, parents are encouraged to bring their children to the Fireside room or walk down the aisle to talk with a counselor about joining the church or to learn more about baptism. Baptism is usually observed at the beginning of our worship services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Come forward during the invitation time to schedule an appointment for baptism.
