The purpose of LifeChange University (LCU) is to provide a convenient, consistent, biblically-balanced, lifechanging discipleship program for men and women who desire to grow more mature in their spiritual life. The ultimate goal of LifeChange University is to see lives impacted to the point of spiritual life change. Understanding that spiritual maturity is a life-long pursuit, LCU provides an ongoing opportunity for spiritual growth and development.

A personal commitment to spiritual growth is at the heart of the philosophy behind LifeChange University. LCU courses are offered throughout the week, including many on Sunday prior to the evening worship service. Each Idlewild member is encouraged to participate in at least one LCU course a semester. There is a Spring and Fall semester each year. Certificates of completion are issued to those who complete each LCU course.

Core Curriculum At LifeChange University

Whenever people begin to attend a college or university they are given direction as to which classes they should take. There are “core” classes that every student must take because they are foundational for all career disciplines. Then there are other classes they complete that have to do with their particular degree. Likewise, there are many wonderful classes that are offered each semester in Life Change University. We are offering and promoting “core” classes that every disciple of Christ ought to take. It is our desire that all of our people (new converts to mature believers) systematically work through these classes. “These classes are also a great place for someone to start who has never taken a LCU class. These “Core” classes will be taught by one of our pastors, licensed ministry associates, or by other ordained pastors. They will be offered each semester of LCU. These recommended classes offered this semester are:
