LifeChange University

The purpose of LifeChange University (LCU) is to provide a convenient, consistent, biblically-balanced, life-changing discipleship program for men and women who desire to grow more mature in their spiritual life. The ultimate goal of LifeChange University is to see lives impacted to the point of spiritual life change. Understanding that spiritual maturity is a life-long pursuit, LCU provides an ongoing opportunity for spiritual growth and development. A personal commitment to spiritual growth is at the heart of the philosophy behind LifeChange University. LCU courses are offered throughout the week, including many on Sunday afternoon. Each Idlewild member is encouraged to participate in at least one LCU course a semester. There is a Spring and Fall semester each year. Amazing Collection: Major Prophets, Early Minor

The five books of The Major Prophets cover a significant time span and present a wide array of messages. It has been said that no other section of the Bible offers such a majestic and highly exalted picture of God! Get ready to meet once again the God of prophecies as they unfold in your study of the Major Prophets. In addition, continue to strengthen your faith through the study of the Early Minor Prophets. The scope of these books is broad! Chronologically, they span more than 4 centuries from approximately 848 to 425 BC. Geographically, they touch Israel, Judah, Syria, Moab, Ammon, Edom, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Assyria. As you study these books, be prepared for gripping and graphic portrayals of both God and man. What should we do when God doesn’t move in the way we know He can? We will study the lives of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and learn from them how to be victorious in our trials. They showed a courage and wisdom in their hard time that we can use to be victorious today. Trials come to us all but God’s Word shows us how to triumph through them. Join us for this 11-week study. Precept Upon Precept-Hebrews (Part 2 & 3)

See how Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Prophets and became our great High Priest. In Part 3, we consider the statement- without faith it is impossible to please God. So what is faith? Where do I get it? And what does it look like lived out in my life? This study of Hebrews Chapters 11–13 will answer these questions and more, encouraging you to fix your eyes on Jesus and run with endurance to the finish line. Monday Evening Class begins January 9. This outstanding 14-session study has been produced in response to Titus 2:3-5 and young women voicing a concern about establishing their homes for His glory. The study is unique and practical addressing how Scripture intersects with life. It is a very impactful study to guide women in being amazing in their character, their relationships, and their home. It is designed for young women who want to learn more about their Biblical role as a woman, and for older women who want an excellent tool to help them mentor younger women. Begins January 26. Financial Peace University will help you develop a plan with your money and teach you God’s ways of handling it. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely; invest for the future, give like never before and much more! This isn’t some stuffy class and don’t worry you won’t be asked to share any personal financial information during the class. You’ll laugh as you learn money skills from Dave and participate in entertaining class activities. Classes meet for two hours each week for nine weeks beginning on Sunday, February 12th and ending on Sunday, April 9th in room E112 from 4:00PM-6:00PM or Thursday’s, February 16th – April 13th in room E112 from 6:30PM-8:30PM. Cost is $100 per couple/single for the membership kit.
