Made to Crave

Jennifer Ivey – Mon 6:30-8:30pm – Aug. 14-Nov. 13 – $30 – E207

Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. The reality is we were made to crave. Craving isn’t a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him. Many of us have misplaced that craving by overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. If you are struggling with unhealthy eating habits, you can break the “I’ll start again Monday” cycle, and start feeling good about yourself today. Learn to stop beating yourself up over the numbers on the scale. Discover that your weight loss struggle isn’t a curse but rather a blessing in the making, and replace justifications that lead to diet failure with empowering go-to scripts that lead to victory. You can reach your healthy weight goal – and grow closer to God in the process.
Note-The cost will be $30 – They will need the 3 books: Made to Crave, Made to Crave Participant’s Guide, Made to Crave Action Plan Participant’s Guide.

The Book of Acts

Wanda Dearolf – Tue 9:30-11:45am – Aug. 22-Nov. 7 – $20 – Hall 1

The Book of Acts begins with the ascension of Jesus and tells the story of the first 30 years of the miraculous growth and expansion of the early church. Acts is filled with drama on every page as the fearful and faithless disciples of Jesus Christ are suddenly baptized and emboldened by the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Although it is often named the Acts of the Apostles, it could rightly be called the Acts of the Holy Spirit as He transforms, fills, equips, and enables ordinary men and women to do extraordinary works for the Kingdom of God! Much of this study will focus on the ministry and work of the 3rd member of the Trinity and what it means to be baptized with the Spirit, filled with the Spirit, sealed by the Spirit, gifted by the Spirit, led by the Spirit, and to walk by the Spirit moment-by-moment. Join us for this exciting study and learn why the Bible declares “the Holy Spirit inside of us is better than Jesus beside us.” Acts 1-12 will be covered this Fall and Acts 13-28 will resume in January 2018.

Woody Arbo – Sun 4:30-6pm – Aug 20-Nov 19 – $15 – E202

There is confusion in the twenty-first century concerning Truth. The long war on God’s words, His written words and revealed history are as old as Genesis 3. We shall take a journey through time to our modern “modern age” and will see how God guarded His Word through the ages. The attacks on Biblical history are unrelenting and are failing; these attacks will be explored in this class. ©AiG
