Idlewild Apartment Ministry (I.A.M.)
The Apartment Ministry is an out reach ministry to apartment dwellers with in our local community. Idlewild Baptist Church is partnering with Heron Cove Apartments to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to its residents. This ministry also helps those living in the apartment by meeting some of the current needs. We build relationships by providing welcome gifts, food, clothes, and seasonal events for the residents.
Most residents of these apartments are unchurched and unaware of the Gospel. And for many reasons, they have little desire to attend any church. Meanwhile, their spiritual needs and God's calling for their lives remains. They still need the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Current Activities:
- Bible Study: "Life Connection Group" | Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in the Clubhouse
- Welcome Basket Preparation/Dropoff to new residents (flexible schedule)
- Special Events: community wide evangelistic cookouts throughout the year
