Children's Ministry Volunteers
If interested in serving, please check one of the following opportunities:
Lighthouse Friend Monthly Volunteer Assist the Bible Fellowship teacher in the classroom with the children in small and large groups. All parents are encouraged to sign up once a month if their child is in Children's Ministry.
Children's Bible Fellowship Teacher Teach God's Word to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. No teaching experience necessary. Availability, a teachable spirit and a love for God and His Word is what we are seeking. Volunteers needed at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services.
Children's Bible Fellowship Assistant Teacher Participate in outreach, as well as engage in training activities to improve effectiveness in teaching children grades K-5th grade. Assist teacher in overall class room needs.
Prayer Coordinator Coordinates prayer requests and complies a weekly prayer sheet for leaders to include children, teachers, and parents. This volunteer position would be committed to prayer and genuine concern for every prayer request. Organizes meals when needed for teachers.
Children's Ministry Greeter Greet and help families find classes for their children. Need greeters for all Bible Fellowship hours to register first time visitors and get them acquainted to our church.
Children's Ministry Resources Room Assistant Assist Children's Resource Room Coordinator, department directors and teachers with supplies and equipment needed for Bible Fellowship and put mail in teacher's boxes. Prepare classrooms for Sunday services. Two volunteers needed any weekday.

TeamKID (Discipleship) Leader
Children's Membership 101 Teacher Teach children who have made a decision for Christ during a four-week program that begins the first Sunday of each month during the 9:30 hour. Training provided. Four teachers needed.
Children's Music/Theater Leader-Lighthouse Kids Town Lead children's music for K5 or grades 1-2 during a large group. Teach the children to worship God through action songs related to the curriculum. Four volunteers needed.
Children's Large Group Coordinator-Lighthouse Kids Town Help oversee the various aspects of the K-grade 5 Children's worship service, including volunteers (monitors) who handle roll sheets, name tags, etc. Four volunteers needed each Sunday.
Children's Special Event Coordinator Assist the Children's Ministry staff in L.O.V.E. (Lay Opportunity Volunteer Events), helping with various activities such as mail outs, assembling packets, sorting and counting items, clerical needs, helping with preparation for Vacation Bible School and assisting with special children's events. Eight volunteers needed Feb-June and September. Children's Large Group Leaders Lead K-5th or grades 1-2 children in their Children's large group worship services, teaching them how to worship God through various activities on their age level. Includes telling the Bible story, teaching a character quality (K-5), doing an object lesson (grades 1-2) and leading a Bible review game.
VBS Team Leader Set the pace and help with the programming of this year's VBS. Weekly planning and preparation with a large group of volunteers in over 27 positions. Training available, just come with a servant's heart.
Vacation Bible School Work in various areas of VBS (refreshments, crafts, recreation, missions, Bible stories, record keeping, etc.) Needs are great and varied, based on your interest level.
Seasonal Ministry Box Prior to VBS, much preparation needs to be done. Work from your home to help us with prep work on craft projects for over 1600 children. You may sign out a box by calling 264-8798.
Special Needs Ministry Teach God's Word on Sunday mornings (9:30 and 11:00) to exceptional children and young adults with varied needs. Assistant Coordinator needed for this ministry, along with weekly volunteers. Men are encouraged to volunteer.
Writer/Curriculum Specialist/Web Design A Core group of writers are needed to develop curriculum for our current Bible study and missions. Web designers are also needed to enhance and update our current website. Remote site assistance.
