We provide a wide array of volunteer opportunities.  Our goal and greatest desire is to “Provide the Unexpected Personal Touch” to all members, guests, and visitors.  Our prayer is that you see Jesus in us.  If you believe God has called you to serve in any of the ministries listed below please contact Rich Walker at 813-264-8716.

PARKING MINISTRY:

Members of the Parking Ministry are located throughout the campus parking lots on Sunday mornings and at special events to assist you.  Service in this ministry requires church membership.

GREETERS:

Members of the Greeter Ministry are located at the entrances to the church on Sunday mornings and special events.  They also staff our Welcome Centers which are equipped with ministry literature and guest information.  Service in this ministry requires church membership, regular attendance in a bible fellowship class and a commitment to financial giving.

USHERS:

Ushers serve at the entrance to and inside the Worship Center.  They distribute literature, assist in seating guests and collect the offering.   Service in this ministry requires church membership, regular attendance in a bible fellowship class and a commitment to financial giving.

MEDICAL RESPONSE:

Volunteers in this area are typically emergency medical technicians, nurses or doctors.  Volunteers are provided communication equipment and medical supplies to respond to medical incidents throughout the campus.  Service in this ministry requires church membership.

TRANSPORTATION:

Volunteers in this area provide driving services and maintenance on church fleet vehicles.  Church membership, standard Florida Driver’s License and a safe driving record are required.

CONCIERGE:

The Concierge Ministry provides services similar to those at fine hotels and vacation resorts.  The Concierge Ministry is located at the primary entrance to the church Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:30 p.m.  The Concierge Ministry provides a wide range of services that may include supporting major events, airport shuttle services for special guests, tours of the Tampa area for visitors, and taking tours of the campus.  Service in this ministry requires church membership, regular attendance in a bible fellowship class, commitment to financial giving and serving a minimum of 4 hours, one day a week.

SECURITY:

Security Volunteers are limited to church members who are active-duty or retired law enforcement.

CONNECTION PARTNERS:

Connection Partners are members that assist guests who have visited Idlewild and filled out a visitor Connection Card. We contact them by phone offering assistance with questions and  officially welcome them to Idlewild.
