Buddy Break provides a safe place for VIPs and their siblings to have fun while their caregivers get a break. This program is for VIP children ages 2-16, and their siblings 4 years old through 5th grade.
- Who are VIPs? VIPs are kids with special needs, which include any physical, cognitive, medical or hidden disability, chronic or life-threatening illness, or those who are medically fragile.

- Who are Buddies? Buddies are friends to VIPs. Each child is paired up with at least one Buddy for the day. Buddies must be at least 14 years old and must complete Buddy Training 101.
The next Buddy Training 101 will be scheduled soon. This is required for all volunteers.

Idlewild hosts Buddy Break one Saturday of the month from 10 am till 1 pm. Space is limited and pre-registration is required, so register early!
