Welcome to Idlewild@HOME

Welcome to Idlewild@HOME

Welcome to Idlewild@Home!

With so much fear and panic around us during these days of this pandemic we wanted to help start your day with inspiration that we believe will be informative, supportive, and positive.

One of the special features of this communication for the next 21 days will be a short mini-devotion from your Pastors. We’d like to ask the church to read the Gospel of John together for the next 21 days. There are 21 chapters, so a chapter a day will keep the blues away.

Another section of this email I’m personally excited about is our Worship Over Worry segment. Each day we want to feature an artist and a selection of praise that we believe will bring inspiration to your heart.

No matter how frustrating, confusing, or scary, this crisis gets, fear, does not have the final say. 1John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear.” Our love for Jesus is not perfect but His perfect love for us is.

Please note the portion – Get Help – Give Help. If you need help, we 1st want to say that we see you and we care about you. Our goal during these days is to serve you however you need. If you want help, there are multiple ways you can serve people in our church family and community.

Dearest Idlewild, these are challenging days but I believe they can be great days of growth and a spiritual awakening for the Body of Christ like we’ve never seen. Please go on line to follow our 21 Days of Prayer with Kenneth Boa. May God deepen our desire to be in prayer and be faithful to intercede for our Governmental Leaders, Families, Pastors, Educators, and Medical Professionals.

Please know your Pastor loves you and misses you something terrible. We’re going to get through this together and when we do, we’ll be stronger, wiser, cleaner, and even healthier. We’ll talk tomorrow. You Are Loved,

Pastor Ken Whitten
