19 Sep Buenos Aires, Argentina – 2023 Mission Trip Recap | Valeria Pulgar Cardozo
This was our second mission trip to Argentina, where we returned to serve the church in Villa Celina, Buenos Aires, with a group of 12 people all ready to serve the community and the church in Christ’s name.
Our days were filled with meaningful work. Mornings brought a 5-day Spark VBS for 80 kids, where we taught them about salvation and how to trust Jesus. This year, we even had a visit from another church in the area interested in learning how to organize a VBS. Afternoons were dedicated to leading soccer and volleyball tournaments with the local teens, providing a way to share the gospel. Evenings were for discipleship – we hosted both a women’s and a men’s conference for the leaders and volunteers of the church.
We also visited Word of Life Argentina and met the missionaries. These individuals are truly dedicated to living for others. What struck us most was how one church can support another, making the Body of Christ stronger together. We were thrilled to witness the continued growth of the church after our first trip and how people connected with the Villa Celina church following our visit. Amidst it all, we enjoyed dulce de leche pastries and savored the enchanting sound of tango resonating through the community! The team was filled with encouragement and joy after serving alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ.
