INFORMATION FOR REGATHERING ON CAMPUS

*Updated on July 7*

  • Idlewild Campus – The campus is now open for us to gather during Sunday worship services as well as select Wednesday evenings.
  • Sunday Worship Service Times: Beginning on July 5th we will have two Sunday Morning worship services at 9:00 & 11:00 am respectively.
  • Wednesday Night Services: During the month of July we are going to use our Wednesday night service times to allow different groups to worship in person while socially distancing. Please take note of which Wednesdays there will be programming for everyone or certain age-grades and which Wednesdays we will not have a service streamed online. (see our July wed night schedule on the home page)
  • Thank You for Social Distancing – Please keep at least Six Foot spacing between parties by sitting in your service’s designated rows and keeping plenty of space between families.
  • Masks: We ask that everyone who joins us in person in the Worship Center please wear a face mask. This protects you as well as those around you. Even if you or they are showing no symptoms.

9:00 – Seating in odd rows only.  Marked in Green.

11:00 – Seating in even rows only.  Marked in Red.

Offerings

For your convenience, offering boxes will be located at all entrances for tithes and offerings in lieu of passing an offering plate during service. You may also give online at idlewild.org/give

Cleaning, Disinfecting and Sanitizing

  • There will be no greeting or shaking hands time during the worship service.

Questions and Answers

Will there be congregational singing?

Some have seen reports about congregational singing and its impact on spreading harmful aerosols.  We have done our due diligence to research into this matter and consulted with experts.

Yes, there will be congregational singing aided by:

  • Social Distancing
  • Cubic Air Space – The larger room helps
  • Ventilation – Air Changes per hour (ACPH), which is greater than less sophisticated buildings

Dr. John Greene – Dept of Infectious Diseases Specialist – Moffitt Cancer Center, believes these precautions to be adequate for singing.

How long will this schedule last?
