FT - Pastor, Global Missions

Ministry Position Title: Pastor – Global Missions

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

To lead in the development of a culture of mission by inspiring and equipping the congregation to engage the lost with the Gospel locally, nationally and internationally. This gospel engagement will take place through evangelism, discipleship, mercy ministry, and church planting in North America and overseas.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

Mobilize IBC members to take the Gospel to the lost, to develop future missionaries, and to oversee the pastoral residency and internship.

Develop a Strategy

Under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, work with the Global Mission team to prioritize, design, plan and execute effective, sustainable efforts (programs, initiatives, partnerships, and events) toward mission goals.

Currently, IBC’s multifaceted strategy for global impact includes:

  • International
    • Sending members to the nations as a long-term, full-time missionaries going through IMB, or other Missions’ organizations.
    • Engaging members in strategic short-term teams and mid-term assignments.
    • Engaging members to seek opportunities to reach the nations through their vocation and family life.
    • Nurturing a church-wide sending culture that engages members who stay in supporting those who go, in a unified commitment to sharing the Gospel among the nations.

    • Develop a church planning strategy for Central Florida and North America
    • Engaging members in a home-mission strategy
    • Engaging members in short-trip and mid-term opportunities in North America and Puerto Rico

    1. Collaborate in a church-wide effort to infuse mission as integral to IBC’s identity.

    1. Collaborate with the “Member Care & Engagement” and “Equipping and Disciple-Making” teams to connect people with a variety of meaningful and accessible options for involvement with global missions. Offer opportunities appropriate to:
      • Individuals, families and small groups
      • People in different life phases (e.g., students, families with children and older adults)
    2. In partnership with other teams, develop an strategy to recruit, train, and mobilize members for mission teams and other volunteer positions.
    3. Coordinate trainings related to global missions, such as cross-cultural ministry, Gospel-centered mercy ministry, and tent making evangelism.
    4. Ensure care and nurture for those engaged in global ministry to foster spiritual growth, maintain personal health, strengthen families, and prevent burnout; create advocacy teams for each of our sent-out ones.
  3. Empower Leaders

Recruit, train and coach the members of the church to provide the overall vision, direction, structure, support and accountability for global mission.

 

Lead and serve other Idlewild Global Missions staff members.

  1. Organize Structures and Systems
  2. Manage Ministry Partnerships:
    • Build connections with mission-critical stakeholders and help manage partnerships at mission locations.
    • Nurture and strengthen working relationship with IMB and NAMB.
    • Connect with existing mission networks wherever beneficial; where appropriate, develop new networks that can help lead to viral movements.
    • Establish criteria and a process for starting and exiting partnerships at appropriate times.
  3. In collaboration with the Creative Team, develop a communication strategy that includes sharing information, inspiration, and stories about global missions.
  4. Work with field missionaries to plan and coordinate effective mission initiatives that consistently score high in assessments of effective engagement.
  5. Oversee logistics for mission related travel; steward budgets, prepare reports, and manage other administrative aspects of ministry.
  6. Create synergy between global missions and other areas of church life and mission.
    • Collaborate with other staff for a comprehensive mobilization strategy that integrates global mission with Tampa area ministries, multi-site development, and church planting.
    • Develop alignment with the Pastoral Vision and with other areas of church life, including worship, discipleship, youth ministry, and family ministry.

FT - Campus Pastor, The Springs

Ministry Position Title: Campus Pastor – The Springs

Ministry Purpose of this Position: The campus pastor is the shepherd of the congregation that meet at the Springs, and the face of the church in that community.

Summary of the Ministry Position: Preach the Word, shepherd the people, and develop and maintain the budget, activities, and ministries of the church.

FT - Financial Controller

Ministry Position Title: Financial Controller

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

The Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for Idlewild Baptist Church.

Summary of this Ministry Position:

The Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for Idlewild Baptist Church. Reporting directly to the Executive Pastor, the Financial Controller provides accounting, budgetary, financial planning and analysis, and financial operational and programmatic support to all Church programs and ministries. The Financial Controller directly oversees and supervises the financial/accounting staff and other departments as directed by the Executive Pastor.

Key Ministry Areas of Responsibility:

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, financial software and reporting systems ensuring policies and procedures are in compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • With the Executive Pastor serve as the lead of the Finance Committee and their related subcommittees
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of Idlewild’s financial status
  • Provide strategic vision, planning and oversight of Idlewild’s financial outlook
  • Manage finance department personnel to include hiring, training, delegation of duties and performance management
  • Ensure a productive work environment within the finance and accounting function
  • Provide staff training in the areas of budget development, budget management, fiscal accountability, and finance procedures
  • Oversee an inclusive process to establish an annual operating budget for Idlewild
  • Lead organizational planning and development of operating and fund account budgets, and control expenditures against budget
  • Participate in leadership meetings to discuss direction of the Idlewild and present financial data
  • Work closely with leadership to:
    • a) maintain, analyze, and interpret general ledger for all funds;
    • b) manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports on a monthly and as needed basis.
  • Work with external auditors to prepare and review audit schedules and annual report of audit findings.
  • Oversee the process for identifying and evaluating opportunities for improved financial operations, recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ensure the maintenance of financial records and recordkeeping systems, including restricted fund accounting, to ensure compliance with all regulations, generally accepted accounting practices and requirements

Knowledge Of:

  • General accounting and financial reporting procedures in accordance with GAAP

FT - Manager, Children's Discipleship

Ministry Position Title:Manager – Children’s Discipleship

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

Support the Children’s Pastor by overseeing 2 primary ministries involving Kinder through 5th graders by ensuring safety, doctrine, quality, and connectivity to the vision of Idlewild. The goal is to teach kids to know God (salvation), the authority of His Word, and grow in obedience to God and His mission (discipleship).

Summary of the Ministry Position:

  • The Manager of Children’s Discipleship reports to the Children’s Pastor and will be responsible for:
    • Kidz Cove (Kids Church for K-5th grades)
    • Awana (K-5th grades)

PT - Worship Leader

Ministry Position Title: Worship Leader

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

Serving as a lead voice from the platform in all worship services throughout the life of the church.

 

Summary of the Ministry Position:

The Worship Leader is the lead voice from the platform in our worship experience. The Worship Leader will prompt congregational worship, speak before songs and address the congregation, and shepherd the congregation in the area of worship and participation.  This includes but is not limited to: Sunday morning worship, Wednesday night worship, Sunday night prayer services, special events, and more.

Above all, the ability to lead and command a congregation. A strong and well-developed singing voice is also necessary. It is preferred (but not necessary) that the worship leader be able to lead from guitar and/or keyboard. Must be able to recruit and train instrumentalists and singers, schedule the band, assemble a worship set using Planning Center Online, arrange and edit multi-tracks using Playback, Ableton, or Logic, and communicate with student pastors, production, and staff.

FT - Video Designer

Ministry Position Title: Video Designer
Reports to: Director – Communications
Department: Communications
Position Status: Non-Exempt

Ministry Purpose of this Position:  Under the Director of Communications, the Video Designer partners with the ministries of the church to supply promotional and project graphic needs.

Summary of the Ministry Position:  The Video Designer is a forward-thinking, skilled position with the Communications ministry.  This person’s duties include conceptualizing ideas, capturing, editing, and producing video projects for ministries within the church.

 

Key Ministry Areas of Responsibility:

  • Creating high quality videos for presentation, web and social media.
  • Supporting all ministries in their video design needs.
  • Designing and developing video concepts to support ministry campaigns and initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining an active archive of video material.

FT - Production Specialist 4

Ministry Position Title: Production Specialist 4
Reports to: Director – Production
Department: Worship and Creative Arts

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

As with the rest of the Production department, this position partners with every church ministry to help ensure all technical needs are met to support their small group time, worship services, and special events.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

The Production Specialist 4 – Lighting Designer not only fills a lead position for our worship services but also support other events or setups. This person should come in with at least 5 years of Live Production and lighting design experience within a church or theater setting. This person’s duties may include all Production Specialist 3 duties, but their primary function is to maintain all lighting equipment across all rooms/campuses as well as support large events and daily setup needs. It is their responsibility to see that the gear is setup correctly and the event is carried out with excellence. It is also their responsibility to train AVL techs on gear as needed.

  • Maintain all lighting equipment (spaces, fixtures, consoles, etc.).
  • Serve as lighting production lead for large events.
  • Maintain Stage layout and functionality for Worship Center.
  • Maintain AVL systems on Lutz campus as well as Sulphur Springs campus.
  • Serve as lead lighting programmer as well as being equipped in other areas of Production for worship center services and events.
  • Maintain installed systems in classrooms.
  • Meet with ministries about their tech needs for special events.
  • Train new AVL techs, specifically lighting, to serve in that role.

Additional Ministry areas of responsibility:

  • Programming Graphics machines with needed content for all worship services on campus.
  • Running small events in the Gatheria, Children’s Building and Student Halls alone.
  • Programming Lighting for Hall events and worship services.
  • Lead on the setup crew for all major events including Easter, Christmas, VBS, Camps.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Production Areas.
  • As needed fill in on the Worship Center technical crew for Sunday and Wednesday services as volunteers call out.

Work Hours/Schedule: Changes weekly depending on special events happening on and off campus. This job will be a full-time position with 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime a couple times a year due to large events like VBS, Camps and Christmas Presentation.

Education required and preferred: High School completed.

Experience required and preferred: At least 5 years in some lead technical role at a church, theater, production company, Video Studio or Audio Studio.

Skills required and preferred:

  • Fluent in lighting systems as well as demonstrated proficiency in audio and video.
  • High proficiency in lighting design and lighting maintenance.

PT - Supervisor, Kids Kare

Ministry Position Title: Supervisor – Kids Kare
Reports to: Manager – Kids Kare

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

To oversee the Kids Kare ministry, it’s employees, volunteers, and birth through fifth grade children under the oversight of the Kids Kare Manager. Kids Kare is a childcare support service to the various ministries of Idlewild Baptist Church. We are given the opportunity to minister to the whole family and are often the first and last touch for families who attend events supported by Kids Kare. We aim to give ourselves daily to help each one live in the rescuing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whether it is to a child, parent, employee, or other ministry.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

The Supervisor works closely with the Kids Kare Manager, and all Idlewild ministries staff to provide childcare support for a wide variety of ministry needs and functions. This includes staffing and overseeing workers, supervising weekly and special events, training new workers, and preparing classroom rosters.

    3. Regularly equip workers and volunteers with tools to minister to families with excellence.

Work Hours/Schedule: 25-29 hours a week. A custom schedule will be created to meet the needs of the Kids Kare program. The schedule is subject to change based on events that Kids Kare is supporting.

The Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for Idlewild Baptist Church.

Summary of this Ministry Position:

The Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for Idlewild Baptist Church. Reporting directly to the Executive Pastor, the Financial Controller provides accounting, budgetary, financial planning and analysis, and financial operational and programmatic support to all Church programs and ministries. The Financial Controller directly oversees and supervises the financial/accounting staff and other departments as directed by the Executive Pastor.

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, financial software and reporting systems ensuring policies and procedures are in compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • With the Executive Pastor serve as the lead of the Finance Committee and their related subcommittees
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of Idlewild’s financial status

The Worship Leader will prompt congregational worship, speak before songs and address the congregation, and shepherd the congregation in the area of worship and participation.  This includes but is not limited to: Sunday morning worship, Wednesday night worship, Sunday night prayer services, special events, and more.

Above all, the ability to lead and command a congregation. A strong and well-developed singing voice is also necessary. It is preferred (but not necessary) that the worship leader be able to lead from guitar and/or keyboard. Must be able to recruit and train instrumentalists and singers, schedule the band, assemble a worship set using Planning Center Online, arrange and edit multi-tracks using Playback, Ableton, or Logic, and communicate with student pastors, production, and staff.

FT - Video Designer

Ministry Position Title: Videographer

Ministry Purpose of this Position:  Under the Director of Communications, the Video Designer partners with the ministries of the church to supply promotional and project graphic needs.

Summary of the Ministry Position:  The Video Designer is a forward-thinking, skilled position with the Communications ministry.  This person’s duties include conceptualizing ideas, capturing, editing, and producing video projects for ministries within the church.

 

Key Ministry Areas of Responsibility:

  • Creating high quality videos for presentation, web and social media.
  • Supporting all ministries in their video design needs.
  • Designing and developing video concepts to support ministry campaigns and initiatives.
  • Establishing and maintaining an active archive of video material.
  • Ensuring timely and immediate production of materials in response to ministry needs.
  • Coordinating ministry engagement in the LEAD pipeline regarding video design.
  • Overseeing administrative responsibilities regarding video design.
  • Performing other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

FT - Production Specialist 4

Ministry Position Title: Production Specialist 4

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

As with the rest of the Production department, this position partners with every church ministry to help ensure all technical needs are met to support their small group time, worship services, and special events.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

The Production Specialist 4 – Lighting Designer not only fills a lead position for our worship services but also support other events or setups. This person should come in with at least 5 years of Live Production and lighting design experience within a church or theater setting. This person’s duties may include all Production Specialist 3 duties, but their primary function is to maintain all lighting equipment across all rooms/campuses as well as support large events and daily setup needs. It is their responsibility to see that the gear is setup correctly and the event is carried out with excellence. It is also their responsibility to train AVL techs on gear as needed.

  • Maintain all lighting equipment (spaces, fixtures, consoles, etc.).
  • Serve as lighting production lead for large events.

  • Maintain AVL systems on Lutz campus as well as Sulphur Springs campus.
  • Serve as lead lighting programmer as well as being equipped in other areas of Production for worship center services and events.
  • Maintain installed systems in classrooms.
  • Meet with ministries about their tech needs for special events.
  • Train new AVL techs, specifically lighting, to serve in that role.

  • Programming Graphics machines with needed content for all worship services on campus.
  • Running small events in the Gatheria, Children’s Building and Student Halls alone.

  • Lead on the setup crew for all major events including Easter, Christmas, VBS, Camps.

  • As needed fill in on the Worship Center technical crew for Sunday and Wednesday services as volunteers call out.

Work Hours/Schedule: Changes weekly depending on special events happening on and off campus. This job will be a full-time position with 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime a couple times a year due to large events like VBS, Camps and Christmas Presentation.

Education required and preferred: High School completed.

Experience required and preferred: At least 5 years in some lead technical role at a church, theater, production company, Video Studio or Audio Studio.

Skills required and preferred:

  • Fluent in lighting systems as well as demonstrated proficiency in audio and video.
  • High proficiency in lighting design and lighting maintenance.

PT - Assistant, Field Operations

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

To oversee the Kids Kare ministry, it’s employees, volunteers, and birth through fifth grade children under the oversight of the Kids Kare Manager. Kids Kare is a childcare support service to the various ministries of Idlewild Baptist Church. We are given the opportunity to minister to the whole family and are often the first and last touch for families who attend events supported by Kids Kare. We aim to give ourselves daily to help each one live in the rescuing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whether it is to a child, parent, employee, or other ministry.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

The Supervisor works closely with the Kids Kare Manager, and all Idlewild ministries staff to provide childcare support for a wide variety of ministry needs and functions. This includes staffing and overseeing workers, supervising weekly and special events, training new workers, and preparing classroom rosters.

  1. Supervise part time coordinators and childcare workers.
    1. Coordinate and oversee events on a weekly basis.

    2. Maintain Kids Kare event calendar, adding new events as they are requested.
    3. Scheduling teachers and assuring availability from workers is current.
    4. Develop rosters for each event based on online registrations.
    5. Assign children on Fellowship One based on the event they are registered for.
    6. Reserve rooms for events using E-Space.
    7. Keep detailed documentation of each event for future reference.
    8. Communicate number of children for each event to Resource and Curriculum coordinator.
  3. Recruit, train and develop part time childcare workers and volunteers.
    1. Assist Manager in onboarding new workers and volunteers.
    2. Identify and develop emerging leaders in ministry.
    3. Regularly equip workers and volunteers with tools to minister to families with excellence.
  4. Build relationships and a culture of collaboration with other ministries and families.

  • Take the role of acting manager when manager is unavailable.
  • Meet with the Kids Kare Manager on a regular basis to calendar and communicate ongoing needs.

Ministry Purpose of this Position:
To maintain the facilities and grounds in such a manner as to not be a topic of negative
conversation by using the available resources efficiently and effectively to glorify God in
doing so.

KEY MINISTRY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Serving as a member of the
Facilities Support Team. To include a variety of general building maintenance & amp;
repair tasks including electrical work, carpentry, painting, plumbing, roofing leak search
& amp; minor repairs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Any or combination of the following:
Electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing 3 phase power,
blueprint reading, patch drywall, painting, plumbing repairs, carpentry, carpet cleaning,
light bulb/ballast replacement, general building repairs; aptitude for Building
maintenance and Repairs. Experience trouble shooting in a commercial building
environment. Must be able to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.

To serve members and guests in the area of hospitality within our recreation outreach concession and food service.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

A part-time position not to exceed 25 hours per week in serving participants both youth and adults in our Recreation programming.

To oversee volunteer staff for concession food service for our athletic programming within game day and night scheduled events.

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

To work alongside the Recreation team officiating sporting events in preparing for and overseeing the all sports contests on game days within routine seasonal times.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

Officiate at athletic or sporting events. Detect infractions of rules and decide penalties according to established regulations. Includes all sporting officials, referees, and athletic judges.

  1. Officiate at sporting events, games, to maintain standards of play and to ensure that game rules are observed.
  2. Signal participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate play or competition.
  3. Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants in order to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
  4. Keep track of event times, including race times and elapsed time during game segments, starting or stopping play when necessary.
  5. Resolve claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants and assess any necessary penalties, according to regulations.
  6. Confer with other sporting officials, coaches, players, and facility managers in order to provide information, coordinate activities, and discuss problems.
