Ministry Position Title: Campus Pastor – The Springs

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

The campus pastor is the shepherd of the congregation that meet at the Springs, and the face of the church in that community.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

Preach the Word, shepherd the people, lead the campus staff and develop and maintain the budget, activities, and ministries of the church.

  • Preach and teach the Word to the congregation (Nehemiah 8:4-8; 2 Tim 4:2; Acts 20:27-28).

Ministry Purpose of this Position:
The Director – Human Resources is responsible for HR management and oversight as described in this position description. This position reports to the Minister – Administration and works closely with the Idlewild Pastoral Leadership Team. The position also assists pastors, managers,  staff, and the Personnel Committee of Idlewild Baptist Church.
Summary of the Ministry Position:
This position is responsible for supporting staff members and those they report to throughout the employment process – from hiring and onboarding, payroll input, performance management, salary administration and exiting employment.  Educates, promotes, and audits compliance with applicable laws.

Production Specialist II

Ministry Position Title: Production Specialist 2

Ministry Purpose of this Position: As with the rest of the Technical Department, this position partners with every church ministry to help ensure all technical needs are met to support their small group time, Worship Services, and special
events.

Summary of the Ministry Position: An AVL Tech 2 is mid-skill level position for the Audio, Video and Lighting technicians who come in with Production or editing experience. This person’s duties may include all AVL Tech 1 duties but will work more technically skilled positions for events and worship services. The growth path from an AVL Tech 2 to AVL Tech 3 is a significant increase in technical knowledge, ability, and independence in performing duties with the added ability of leading a technical team from beginning to end of an event.

Ministry Position Description

PRODUCTION SPECIALIST 2 -2- HR Revised 1-9-18

  • Setup small A/V equipment for classrooms including TVs on carts, projectors, laptops, small audio systems
  • Assist in the setup for large events in the Gatheria and Worship Center
  • As needed fill in on the Worship Center technical crew for Sunday and Wednesday Services as volunteers call out
  • As needed work Worship Quest, Camp Agape, Axis, Wired, Tree and Kidz Cove on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings

roofing leak search & minor repairs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Any or combination of the following:
Electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing 3 phase power, blueprint reading, patch
drywall, painting, plumbing repairs, carpentry, carpet cleaning, light bulb/ballast replacement, general building
repairs; aptitude for Building Maintenance and Repairs. Experience trouble shooting in a commercial building
environment. Must be able to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.

PT - Receptionist

Ministry Position Title: Receptionist

Ministry Purpose of this Position: Churches are in the people “business”, therefore, Idlewild’s reason to have a live voice as a receptionist opposed to an automated attendant. The Receptionist communicates with a lot of people on a daily basis representing Idlewild to many people. They are to represent the heart and character of our church to all callers and visitors they interact with. They are to be welcoming, sensitive, helpful, and effective in connecting them to the appropriate person or ministry that prompted their call or office visit.

Summary of the Ministry Position: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for greeting office visitors, signing them in and announcing them to the person or department they will be visiting, answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties that can be performed at their workstation without many interruptions to answer calls and greet visitors.

Ministry Purpose of this Position:
As Ministry Assistant to the Lead Minister of Music & Worship, this position supports that Minister
with all activities, daily duties, and projects with the goal of prompting a multigenerational,
multicultural body of believers to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in unity, spirit, and in truth.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

In support of the Lead Minister of Music & Worship, the Ministry Assistant handles administrative
duties of the office, communication with and maintenance of records related to the Worship Choir,
planning and facilitating Worship Choir events, assistance with a variety of projects related to the
music ministry.

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

As with the rest of the Technical Department, this position partners with every church ministry to help ensure all technical needs are met to support their small group time, Worship Services, and special events.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

An AVL Tech 1 is our entry-level position for the Audio, Video and Lighting technicians who come in with little or no experience. All training needed to perform each job function will be given on the job as needed. This person’s duties will range from helping to keep the technical areas clean and organized to running a computer for an event. The growth path from an AVL Tech 1 to AVL Tech 2 is a significant increase in technical knowledge, ability, and independence in performing duties.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Edit Suites and Production Areas

DUTIES: Key Responsibilities include: Serving as a member of the Facilities Support Team. Duties will include a
variety of general building maintenance & repair tasks including electrical work, carpentry, painting, plumbing,
roofing leak search & minor repairs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Any or combination of the following:
Electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing 3 phase power, blueprint reading, patch
drywall, painting, plumbing repairs, carpentry, carpet cleaning, light bulb/ballast replacement, general building
repairs; aptitude for Building Maintenance and Repairs. Experience trouble shooting in a commercial building
environment. Must be able to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.

Ministry Purpose of this Position: Churches are in the people “business”, therefore, Idlewild’s reason to have a live voice as a receptionist opposed to an automated attendant. The Receptionist communicates with a lot of people on a daily basis representing Idlewild to many people. They are to represent the heart and character of our church to all callers and visitors they interact with. They are to be welcoming, sensitive, helpful, and effective in connecting them to the appropriate person or ministry that prompted their call or office visit.

Summary of the Ministry Position: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for greeting office visitors, signing them in and announcing them to the person or department they will be visiting, answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties that can be performed at their workstation without many interruptions to answer calls and greet visitors.

  1. Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate personnel. Will transfer a caller to an employee’s voice mail when they are unavailable.
