Summary of the Ministry Position:

Lead IBC, alongside the leadership of the Pastor of Global Missions, in developing a passion for international missions, as the members are inspired and equipped to take the Gospel to the nations on short, mid, and long-term opportunities. Campus Pastor - Idlewild At The Springs

Ministry Position Title: Campus Pastor – The Springs

Ministry Purpose of this Position:

The campus pastor is the shepherd of the congregation that meet at the Springs, and the face of the church in that community.

Summary of the Ministry Position:

Preach the Word, shepherd the people, lead the campus staff and develop and maintain the budget, activities, and ministries of the church.

  • Preach and teach the Word to the congregation (Nehemiah 8:4-8; 2 Tim 4:2; Acts 20:27-28).
  • Share the gospel with non-Christians, and lead the campus to become an evangelistic congregation (Acts 20:26-27; Ezekiel 33:1-9).
  • Disciple members of the church, and lead others to become disciple-makers (2 Tim 2:2; Col 1:28).

Ministry Position Title: Video Designer

Ministry Purpose of this Position:  Under the Director of Communications, the Video Designer partners with the ministries of the church to supply promotional and project graphic needs.

Summary of the Ministry Position:  The Video Designer is a forward-thinking, skilled position with the Communications ministry.  This person’s duties include conceptualizing ideas, capturing, editing, and producing video projects for ministries within the church.

FT - Manager - Recreation

Ministry Position Title:Manager – Recreation
Reports to: Director – Recreation

Ministry Purpose of this Position: The Manager of Recreation Outreach supports the Lead Director of Recreation Outreach in reaching the community for Christ through athletics and connecting the participants to the church.  This position is critical in the making of disciples utilizing youth and adult sports as the conduit for building relationships.

Summary of the Ministry Position: The Manager of Recreation Outreach is charged with developing an overarching strategy and practical tactics to ensure our ministry is fully focused on the making of disciples.  This strategic leadership will focus on developing appropriate roles for coaches and other leaders, develop and deliver training for these leaders, provide modeling and coaching of our leaders and support the overarching spiritual tone of the Recreation Ministry.  The writing and development of effective and engaging devotionals to be utilized in the ministry is critical to our success.  The Recreation Manager also oversees the administration of all leagues, youth and adult, including but not limited to, creating teams, schedules, identifying coaches and referees, managing the budget, supervising staff and volunteers, etc. Also supports the Lead Director of Recreation Outreach in overall supervision of the recreation ministry and overseeing the vision and future development of the recreation ministry.

  1. Create and Oversee Disciple-Making: The spiritual leadership of the Recreation Manager is of paramount importance.  This priority must be integrated in everything that we do in the ministry.  This starts with the manager’s personal commitment to discipling others as a proven practice and a key priority.  It will affect recruiting, training, equipping, modeling, coaching and celebrating success.
  2. Administration of Youth and Adult Leagues: It is the responsibility of this position to coordinate registration, form teams, respond to emails and phone calls regarding leagues, recruit and retain coaches, and identify/train game day officials. This role requires a significant amount of finesse and discernment.  Communication with parents, participants, volunteers and support partners must be thoughtful and Christ-like.
  3. Practice and Game Day Operations: Attendance at all game days is required to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment which allows for Idlewild coaches and members to reach the lost for Christ. Attendance at all game days and most practices is required to assist coaches and parents with any issues that arise during games or practices. Identify and train youth/adult game day officials for youth leagues and secure adult officials for adult leagues.
  4. Budget Management: Work alongside the Lead Director of Recreation in establishing the budget for the Recreation Ministry and ensuring that the budget is maintained for each sport throughout the season.
  5. Program Growth: It is important that the Recreation ministry continue to reach new unchurched people, as well as members, by establishing creative marketing techniques to enhance Idlewild Recreation’s reach within the community and grow the current programs, as well as any new programs that are established.
  6. Recruit, Train, and Retain Coaches: It is the responsibility of this position to create an environment that is consistent with our Value and Measures. Spiritual maturity is essential for this role and all other staff members in the Recreation Ministry. This is never more important than in the recruiting of quality volunteers who will coach and lead various teams in the program. It is also the responsibility of this position to create training through Ministry Grid for all of our volunteer opportunities. Also, the retainment of coaches through different sports and seasons is vital.
  7. Staff management: Oversee ministry assistant, field operations staff, game day officials, concession stand, and coaches. This position will act as the point of contact for all game day officials when a problem arises. This position will also be responsible for making sure the concession stand is run efficiently and more importantly is consistent with our Values and Measures.
  8. Research and development of future programs: Continually researching the possibility of new programming and if something is discovered that could be worthwhile, developing it to make sure it aligns with Idlewild’s Mission.
  9. Integration of Other Ministries into Recreation: Creating a culture where regular and routine integration should occur between the recreation ministry and other ministries throughout the church.

Work Hours/Schedule:

Custom schedule that is primarily driven by the ministry’s events and program schedule. Normal work week is 40+ hours a week.

 

Education required and preferred:

A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management or something similar.

 

Experience required and preferred:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in recreation or athletic administration. Coaching or athletic background with a solid understanding of sports and the athletic community.

 

Skills required and preferred:

Good verbal and written communication skills. Good at leading a team of volunteers. Planning, forecasting, analyzing. Basic computer skills, utilizing Word and Excel.

 

Characteristics required and preferred:

Ministry Purpose of this Position:
To maintain the facilities and grounds in such a manner as to not be a topic of negative
conversation by using the available resources efficiently and effectively to glorify God in
doing so.

KEY MINISTRY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Serving as a member of the
Facilities Support Team. To include a variety of general building maintenance & amp;
repair tasks including electrical work, carpentry, painting, plumbing, roofing leak search
& amp; minor repairs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Any or combination of the following:
Electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing 3 phase power,
blueprint reading, patch drywall, painting, plumbing repairs, carpentry, carpet cleaning,
light bulb/ballast replacement, general building repairs; aptitude for Building
maintenance and Repairs. Experience trouble shooting in a commercial building
environment. Must be able to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.

Ministry Purpose of this Position: To support the Missions Café ministry in the of art making gourmet coffee for church attendees; to make sure the guest experiences are God inspired under the guidance of the Food Service Director.

Summary of the Ministry Position: Baristas are responsible for making quality beverages, specialty hot and cold drinks, preparing food orders, working the cash register, and cleaning and stocking. Baristas must do all of these tasks quickly and efficiently while also making sure to form good customer relationships.

Key Ministry Areas of Responsibility: Prepare, serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards and exact recipes. Properly handle and maintain all equipment. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner. Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures and end of day reports. Serve customers quickly and efficiently. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings. Observe relevant health and safety standards. Share Christ’s love and care through words and deeds. Ministry Purpose of this Position: The Manager of Recreation Outreach supports the Lead Director of Recreation Outreach in reaching the community for Christ through athletics and connecting the participants to the church.  This position is critical in the making of disciples utilizing youth and adult sports as the conduit for building relationships.

Summary of the Ministry Position: The Manager of Recreation Outreach is charged with developing an overarching strategy and practical tactics to ensure our ministry is fully focused on the making of disciples.  This strategic leadership will focus on developing appropriate roles for coaches and other leaders, develop and deliver training for these leaders, provide modeling and coaching of our leaders and support the overarching spiritual tone of the Recreation Ministry.  The writing and development of effective and engaging devotionals to be utilized in the ministry is critical to our success.  The Recreation Manager also oversees the administration of all leagues, youth and adult, including but not limited to, creating teams, schedules, identifying coaches and referees, managing the budget, supervising staff and volunteers, etc. Also supports the Lead Director of Recreation Outreach in overall supervision of the recreation ministry and overseeing the vision and future development of the recreation ministry.

  1. Create and Oversee Disciple-Making: The spiritual leadership of the Recreation Manager is of paramount importance.  This priority must be integrated in everything that we do in the ministry.  This starts with the manager’s personal commitment to discipling others as a proven practice and a key priority.  It will affect recruiting, training, equipping, modeling, coaching and celebrating success.
  2. Administration of Youth and Adult Leagues: It is the responsibility of this position to coordinate registration, form teams, respond to emails and phone calls regarding leagues, recruit and retain coaches, and identify/train game day officials. This role requires a significant amount of finesse and discernment.  Communication with parents, participants, volunteers and support partners must be thoughtful and Christ-like.
  3. Practice and Game Day Operations: Attendance at all game days is required to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment which allows for Idlewild coaches and members to reach the lost for Christ. Attendance at all game days and most practices is required to assist coaches and parents with any issues that arise during games or practices. Identify and train youth/adult game day officials for youth leagues and secure adult officials for adult leagues.
  4. Budget Management: Work alongside the Lead Director of Recreation in establishing the budget for the Recreation Ministry and ensuring that the budget is maintained for each sport throughout the season.
  5. Program Growth: It is important that the Recreation ministry continue to reach new unchurched people, as well as members, by establishing creative marketing techniques to enhance Idlewild Recreation’s reach within the community and grow the current programs, as well as any new programs that are established.
  6. Recruit, Train, and Retain Coaches: It is the responsibility of this position to create an environment that is consistent with our Value and Measures. Spiritual maturity is essential for this role and all other staff members in the Recreation Ministry. This is never more important than in the recruiting of quality volunteers who will coach and lead various teams in the program. It is also the responsibility of this position to create training through Ministry Grid for all of our volunteer opportunities. Also, the retainment of coaches through different sports and seasons is vital.
  7. Staff management: Oversee ministry assistant, field operations staff, game day officials, concession stand, and coaches. This position will act as the point of contact for all game day officials when a problem arises. This position will also be responsible for making sure the concession stand is run efficiently and more importantly is consistent with our Values and Measures.
  8. Research and development of future programs: Continually researching the possibility of new programming and if something is discovered that could be worthwhile, developing it to make sure it aligns with Idlewild’s Mission.
  9. Integration of Other Ministries into Recreation: Creating a culture where regular and routine integration should occur between the recreation ministry and other ministries throughout the church.

Electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing 3 phase power,
blueprint reading, patch drywall, painting, plumbing repairs, carpentry, carpet cleaning,

Ministry Purpose of this Position: To support the Missions Café ministry in the of art making gourmet coffee for church attendees; to make sure the guest experiences are God inspired under the guidance of the Food Service Director.

Summary of the Ministry Position: Baristas are responsible for making quality beverages, specialty hot and cold drinks, preparing food orders, working the cash register, and cleaning and stocking. Baristas must do all of these tasks quickly and efficiently while also making sure to form good customer relationships.

Key Ministry Areas of Responsibility: Prepare, serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards and exact recipes. Properly handle and maintain all equipment. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner. Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures and end of day reports. Serve customers quickly and efficiently. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings. Observe relevant health and safety standards. Share Christ’s love and care through words and deeds.
