Day 20

Day 20

Adoration

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty heavens.
Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the harp and lyre.
Praise Him with the timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes.
Praise Him on the sounding cymbals;
Praise Him on the resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:1-6)

The Lord shall reign for ever and ever. (Exodus 15:18)

Pause to express your thoughts of praise and worship.

Confession

Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
Save me, and I will be saved,
For You are my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14)

Ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

Renewal

Since I call on the Father who judges each man’s work impartially,
may I conduct myself in fear during the time of my sojourn on earth.
(1 Peter 1:17)

May I keep the commandments of the Lord my God, to walk in His
ways and to fear Him. May I follow the Lord my God and fear Him;
may I keep Your commandments, hear Your voice, serve You, and
hold fast to You. (Deuteronomy 8:6; 13:4)

Pause to add your own prayers for personal renewal.

Petition

May I be careful and watch myself closely lest I forget the
things my eyes have seen or let them depart from my heart
as long as I live. May I teach them to my children and to
their children after them. (Deuteronomy 4:9)

Affirmation

Many who are first will be last, and the last first. (Matthew 19:30;
Mark 10:31)

Whoever wishes to become great among others must become their
servant, and whoever wishes to be first among them must
be their slave. (Matthew 20:26-27; Mark 10:43-44)

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles
himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12; Luke 14:11; 18:14)

Pause to reflect upon these biblical affirmations.

Thanksgiving

Shout for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth!
Break out into singing, O mountains!
For the Lord has comforted His people
And will have compassion on His afflicted. (Isaiah 49:13)

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
My soul will be joyful in my God.
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation
And arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10)

Pause to offer your own expressions of thanksgiving.

Closing Prayer

The Lord will command His lovingkindness by day,
And His song will be in the night—
A prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8)

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who alone does wonderful things.
And blessed be His glorious name forever;
May the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen and Amen. (Psalm 72:18-19)
