08 Sep Initial Structures for Reopening of Special Needs Classes
As safe as possible for as many as possible
ATTENDANCE
- Classroom capacities are limited
- Weekly preregistration is required at this time
- Students may attend one class hour initially
FACE COVERINGS AND DISTANCING
- Due to the nature of Special Needs Ministry, physical distancing cannot be guaranteed but will be encouraged by physical structures and volunteer practices
- Face coverings are required for all leaders whenever not physical distancing
- Face coverings on lanyards are requested of all able students during transition times
CHECK IN
- Will take place in hallway
- Check in line is on the left side of the door
- Maintain appropriate physical distance while waiting
- Check in will include temp check
- You will confirm contact phone number or take a pager
For 11:00 session only:
- After check in, parent/caregiver will accompany student to church for music time
- Parents in leadership roles at this time can request exception
- Volunteers will be cleaning room and toys during this time
- Volunteers will come to get all students at end of music and return to classroom
PICK UP
- Will take place in hallway
- Pick up line is on the right side of the door
- Maintain appropriate physical distance while waiting for your child to be brought to you
CLASSROOMS
- Set up to encourage appropriate distancing
- Students will have assigned seating
- Supplies are not to be shared
- Snacks will not be offered at this time
ZOOM - Please let us know if you will be relying on Zoom to stay connected.
- We want to continue the Zoom from our classrooms but haven’t yet succeeded with all the technology and equipment aspects of that, as of this writing.
