Member Care

‘Hope for the Orphan’ is run by God through the Family Care office at Idlewild, led by pastor Reno Zunz. It was formed with the goal of supporting foster and adoptive families in our church. ‘Hope For The Orphan’ is a way to connect volunteers with a heart for foster children with those who have decided to say “yes!” to God’s call and take care of our “modern orphans”.

We also aim to bring foster parents together to encourage one another and other members of the body of Christ to enter this rewarding journey. Are you a foster/adoptive parent? Let us be a hand of support!

Are you a foster/adoptive parent? Let us be a hand of support!
Send us an email to let us know about your major needs or new placements. As your church, we will be more than happy to pray for you and actively support your family as you minister to those in need.

Do you have a heart for Foster Care and wants to know how you can help? In Foster Care, everybody can do something. Some of our opportunities include delivering a meal, providing child care and mentoring. Let us know how God’s called you to serve in this ministry and will plug you in!

Foster Parents Support Group

You don’t have to go through your Foster Care journey alone. We invite you to share your experiences, learn from others and ask questions in a meeting covered by prayers and words of encouragement. Meets on the last Wednesday of every month.

Good News Reading Club

Bring Christian books to read to foster children. Share the hope found in Christ by reading biblical stories. Make it a family mission and help make an eternal difference in the life of a foster child. Meets on the First Saturday Morning of every Month (except July and December)
