SummerSing is our Summer Music Camp for those who have completed Grades 2-5.This week will be filled with musical and arts activities such as guitar, musical games, vocal skills, and drama as a part of a mini- musical experience. SummerSing participants will be learning songs from the musical “A Not So Terrible Parable.” They will present the songs they learn along with some drama from this presentation on Thursday, July 19 at Parents’ Night. They will also be sharing what they have done in their classes at this time. On Friday, they will have a fun half day to play some games and help their team in the challenges of that day. Earning team points and devotions are also part of the week. Click here to see what a typical SummerSing schedule may look like.

Auditions for a special part (solo or drama) in the mini-musical presented on Parents’ Night will be on Monday, June 18 at 6:30pm in Room #A214 – the Children’s Building (if you can’t make this date you must contact us BEFORE June 18 to make arrangements for a makeup audition). Audition information will be sent to you if you request it at registration. Students must attend Family Night, Thursday, July 19, in order to receive a part.  Also note that children given a special part will have a rehearsal for that part that will take the place of one class choice.

Purpose of SummerSing Our SummerSing Worship Arts Camp will focus on providing many different activities for exploring and learning musical, worship & arts concepts at age-appropriate levels. Children will participate in various classes such as Choir & Musical Games as well as special interest classes for further enrichment. Although children will present a musical presentation on Thursday, July 19, the main emphasis of SummerSing is on learning, discovering, and experiencing the arts that can be used in Worship and Praise in a fun way. We offer children an opportunity to experience many different ways to serve the Lord! SummerSing is designed for those with an interest in music and/ or one of arts offered.

Class Descriptions Click here to see SummerSing 2018’s pamphlet  for a description of the classes offered (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader – formatted for legal size paper).  The list of classes offered is subject to change so be sure to take a look at the final list when online registration opens on 5/1. All Classes are not available at all hours, or in all age groups. We can not guarantee you will get all the classes you sign up for, but we do our best to meet your requests. Students are placed in classes in the order they register, so the earlier you register the better chance you have of getting placed in your first choice options. NO refunds for cancellations.
