Idlewild’s ‘rising’ 4th & 5th Grade Retreat will be August 26-28 at Camp Anderson (Vero Beach location)
This is an incredible right of passage at IBC Kids. We missed the last two years but we are ready to get back into the saddle. What happens at our retreats?
We depart on Friday PROMPTLY at 4:15pm and we return Sunday morning to do our last session here at IBC (so that parents can pick up their kids right after church at 12:15pm). Kids bring their dinner and eat it on the fun bus ride.
Friday night, we unpack into cabins of 8-10 kids and two adults. Then, it’s off to our first session with Pastor Patrick. This is an incredibly fun weekend AS WELL AS an incredibly intentional “discipleship” weekend.
This year, we’ll be digging into Daniel and how he “resolved” to stand firm in a culture that was far from God (very similar world to today). We’ll have a short small group time afterwards.
Saturday, it’s breakfast then session 2 and small group time (build friendships). THEN… kids will spend the day doing what kids do…have fun being kids! Rock climbing walls, paddle boats/kayaks, ga-ga ball, bows & arrows, the BLOB, and so much more!
Saturday night is dinner, session 3, small group and maybe some s’mores!
Sunday is breakfast, hit the bus and here we come to IBC for our last session in Room 212.
