Ron Upton

Personal:

  1. I want to thank you for your continued prayers on behalf of my family; Please pray for my wife, Miska, as she continues to faithfully serve God;
  2. Please pray for my children: My son, Ethan, who will complete his Master’s Degree this summer, for clarification of direction in his life after graduation; for my daughter, Maret, and her husband, Zachary, as they look for a dynamic family oriented church; and for my son, Nathan, to find and plug into a strong healthy church;
  3. Please pray that as a family, we all make wise choices and decisions.

Ministry:

  1. Next month, 50 members of our Choir are joining with 130 others from 4 churches and participating in a Music & Ministry Tour in Eastern Europe. Please pray as you would for any mission team who is declaring the name of Jesus, whether in song or word.
  2. Please pray for wisdom for me as I seek to prompt a multicultural, multi-generational body of believers to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in unity, spirit and truth.

Steve Kirby
Minister, Instrumental Music

Personal:

  1. His family – Bonnie, Daniel (Aden and Jackson), Joel (Veronica, Ryleigh and Raegan) and Erin (Matt).
  2. Pray for Daniel and Jen (as parents) as they raise Aden and Jackson up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, even from different states. Daniel’s boys are basically growing up without him. Jen does not go to church or want anything to do with church. Because Jen doesn’t go to church, the boys don’t go either. Daniel has them for 3 weeks this month (they are now on year round school). Pray that God would install His wisdom in them and that they would come to Christ. Pray for wisdom, sound minds and God’s grace on their lives.
  3. Pray for Joel and Veronica as they lean on Him and make Him a priority in all things. Pray that Joel and Veronica will continue to be the parents to Ryleigh and Raegan that God has called them to be.
  4. Pray for Erin and Matt. Matt is very far from the Lord. But, God continues to show Himself faithful. We are praying that Matt comes to Christ soon. Pray for Erin as she still deals with headaches, migraines and a severe wheat allergy. Continue to pray for God’s perfect will to be manifested in her life now and the future. Thank you for lifting my children (and grandchildren) up in prayer! Pray for wisdom and direction.
  5. Thank you for continuing to pray for my family. The house in Daytona is under contract and should be closing mid-June. This is amazing news. God is good. We have not met the people buying it (yet), but they plan to live in the house, not rent it or “flip” it. That makes us very happy!

Ministry:

  1. The Worship Orchestra as we are always looking for additional instrumentalists to join with us. We are always in need of string players (violin, viola, cello), but all other instruments are welcome.
  2. The Student Worship Community, including the WILD Orchestra, as we pray for godly leadership with a thirst for God’s Word. We are always looking for additional instrumentalists. We are especially in need of string and woodwind players (particularly violin, flute and clarinet), but all other instruments are welcome (and needed). Pray that we can capture young musicians to train and to become better worshippers and better worship leaders. We are excited about our WILD mission trip to NYC this month: June 26 – July 1. We’re working hard to be God’s ambassadors while in NYC, so pray for us as we prepare. Thank you for praying for us!
  3. The Centre for Music, Worship and the Arts as we are already preparing for the fall semester. We are always in need of qualified instructors, specifically vocal (male and female), piano and guitar. We lost a few key instructors last year (retiring, moving). Pray that we can continue to meet the needs according to the Lord’s plan for us.
  4. Thank you for praying for the Metro Instrumental Directors Conference. It was an amazing week. The directors and spouses mentioned to me that they felt the prayers that you were praying for them that week.Hallelujah!
