FAMILY MINISTRIES

Wade Griffin
Minister, Families

Ministry:

  1. On November 10th and 17th we launched a new Lifestyle Evangelism training program we are calling Rescue The One. It utilizes material put together by our own Pastor Mike Kahn at Tampa Bay Baptist Association. The initial training was for leaders, however, we pray that there will be many more training sessions in 2020. Please pray that God will bless and move many here to engage our Mission to take the gospel wherever we go.
  2. Join the Movement is a new fixture Idlewild to help our people find their Ministry within the church and Mission outside the church. Thank you for your prayers and please continue!
  3. We have many who are hosting small groups in their home in order to be a lighthouse in their neighborhoods. Please pray that this number would grow and they would be emboldened lead by the Spirit to engage those neighbors, friends, co-workers and others as He directs.
  4. We have over 15,000 members here at Idlewild. Unfortunately, many of them are no longer engaged in our ministry. It is my blessing to lead an initiative to pray for these unengaged members by name and reach out to them as an encouragement. This is a massive effort! Please pray with me that God will guide and bless this effort.

Personal:

  1. Thank you for your prayers for our Cuba mission trip that took place in mid-November. Please pray that God would bless the seeds that were planted as we will be taught pastors and actively shared the gospel.
  2. It seems that our enemy is aggressively attacking young families at this time. Please pray for God’s protection and that these couples will keep their hearts and minds set on Christ.
  3. Thank you for your prayers for our neighbors. We have had several unique opportunities to demonstrate care and support to several neighbors. We definitely see God at work!
