OFFICE OF THE PASTOR

Dr. Ken Whitten
Senior Pastor

Personal:

  1. Please pray for my speaking engagements in March; one will be at Southwestern Theological Baptist Seminary and the other at Bellview Baptist Church in South Carolina. Pray that these quick visits will encourage and challenge our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
  2. Please pray for your Pastor as I am giving counsel to individuals, couples, and churches who need guidance. Ask that I remain in the Spirit and that my words are His words.
  3. Continue to pray for Mrs. Ginny, my kids, and grandkids. Pray they continue to spend time with the Lord as they balance in their busy schedules.
  4. I have the privilege of serving on the One More Child Board and have just returned from their meeting. Please pray for this incredible ministry and pray for my members who currently serve in it.

Ministry:

  1. Last month I asked to you pray for our church’s staffing needs. The Lord has answered some of those needs. Please continue to pray for wisdom as we review resumes and interview candidates.
  2. Please pray for me as I walk with you through the book of Lamentations. We belong to a church that is acquainted with grief and sorrow. Pray that the Lord will use this series to give people hope and to draw them to a closer, deeper walk with Christ.
  3. Please pray for our Support Group teams, volunteers, and Pastor Phillip Hanes who counsel and encourage the hurting on a weekly basis. Pray they will not grow weary. Pray the Lord will send godly and mature volunteers to help strengthen these groups.
  4. We will begin our 21 Days of Prayer this month and we will spend time teaching our people how to pray. Pray that the Spirit of the Lord would move through our church and bring our people to their knees collectively and in their own “war rooms.” Pray that more prayer warriors would join the ranks and ask for God’s favor upon our homes, church, neighborhoods and our city.

You are loved! Thank you for your prayers, your love, and encouragement.

Brian McDougall
Executive Pastor

  1. Personal:
Diana: Please pray for Diana and I as we prepare to minister to our first grand baby due in April, Praise God.
  2. Dad: He recently has had some health setbacks. Please continue to pray for Dad’s healing to speak more clearly and to swallow better, both issues are issues from a recent stroke. Three weeks ago day fell and broke his clavicle. Fortunately he is healing well and it did not require surgery. Thanks for your continued prayers for my very godly 96 year old Dad.
  3. Leta: For my sister, that she will have health, courage and strength as she is the full time caregiver for my Dad. Since Dad’s recent health setbacks the level of care Leta provides has to be stepped up quite a bit. Thanks for continuing to pray for Leta.
  4. Logan and Aimee: Please rejoice with us on the news that Logan and Aimee are now expecting a baby boy. Please pray for the continued health of Aimee and the baby.
