All children must have a completed liability form to participate in VBS.
Completing a liability form is a two-step process:
Buddy Requests:
If you want your child in the same group as ONE of their friends, then both children must be in the same grade and must register on the same date no later than April 24, 2022. Due to the number of children anticipated, only ONE friend request can be honored per child. Buddy requests are not guaranteed as we encourage children to make new friends.
Registration DEADLINE:
All children must be registered and have completed liability forms by May 22, 2022, to receive a packet in the mail. Those registering after May 22 or have not completed liability forms will have to visit Will Call to receive their packet.

There is a spanish language program available for those who wish to participate. Children will follow the same program and participate in the same activities.
Birth through age 5 can participate when a parent volunteers to serve during VBS. All volunteers must be a member and have a background check. Simply register your preschoolers when you register yourself as a volunteer
Children with special needs are welcome and encouraged to participate in VBS! Some kids with special needs thrive in the typical VBS setting. If your child would benefit from a quieter environment, we have limited space in our Special Needs group.
Love children into the Kingdom of God! And have fun doing it!
Spark Studios – Spark imagination and kick creativity into high gear at Spark Studios. This summer, kids will learn that God’s creativity didn’t stop in Genesis. The Master Artist is working to redeem, reclaim, and transform us–His creation–to the design He planned for us. Kids will see the beautiful truth that they are God’s workmanship as they learn to use their talents to bring glory to Him.

Attention 2022 VBS Leaders,
Welcome to IBC’s 2022 Spark Studios VBS.
Every great masterpiece starts with a design. The foundation for VBS starts with this manual. It explains all the twists and turns of making our VBS the BEST IN THE NATION!
So pick up that highlighter and mark the parts that have changed since 2021 as well as the important info you don’t want to forget.
Remember, we want to teach kids to know Christ (salvation), the authority of His Word, and how to WWJD (Walk With Jesus Daily) as kids. YOU are called, prayed for, and crucial. We’re thankful you saw clearly to join the 2022 crew.
With Gratitude,
Sabrina Baker

Park in the back half of the Yellow lot closest to the Gatheria (east side of the building nearest the Gatheria). Leave the front half of Yellow, Green, Red and Blue lots for families to utilize during student drop off and pick up.
Volunteers should enter through the Yellow Parking glass doors (through the Gatheria).
They will stay with you until drop off begins in the Worship Center at 8:45 am, at which time they can move to their assigned group location.
Proceed to the preschool area to check in your child. If you have older children with you, do not leave them unattended. Either have another volunteer supervise them or have them accompany you.
If you choose to bring any personal items, plan to carry them with you throughout the day. There will be no secure place available to store them.
ANY emergency that requires MORE than an alcohol wipe or band-aid must be referred to the nurse in the Preschool area.
Arrive by 8:15 a.m. and check in with your grade level Team Leader in the Worship Center. One Tour Guide should sit on each end of your assigned pew to aid with the monitoring and discipline (if necessary) of all activities in your group.
Preschool parents: You may drop off your child in Preschool classrooms at 8:30 a.m.
A daily schedule with the rotations will be provided to you. You will be responsible for the movement of your group through rotations. Please supervise your campers throughout all the rotations.
All volunteers will be given a special VBS nametag. Be sure to wear your nametag all week for security purposes and to help you make some new friends.
• Each child must have on a wristband before they arrive at their assigned Worship Center pew each morning.
• Nametags will be in the pew packet.
• Attendance roll will be made available in your pew bag in the Worship Center the first morning of VBS. This bag will contain attendance roll, class list, nametag and any correspondence that needs to go home with the children.
• Seat children in their assigned pew and take attendance. Check each child’s wrist band and write their number next to their name on the class list.
• After you take attendance, place registration and attendance on the pew. Always leave the attendance sheet on the pew when you leave the Worship Center. Please keep the class list with you.
• Attendance rolls will be collected each day after Worship Rally by the Registration Team and then returned to your pew before the next day.
A child should never leave your group. Please plan a restroom break sometime in your daily schedule for your group. During the snack rotation would be a good time for a restroom break. Please make sure you are using appropriate touch at all times. Make sure you do not carry a child for any reason. This includes piggy-back rides and sitting in laps. (See pages 13-14 for details).
In the event of rain, we will observe our Rainy Day Plan schedule. Instead of children going to the Recreation Rotation, they will remain in their small group room with alternative rec activities.
Dress modestly (no short shorts or cut up t-shirts). Please wear your VBS volunteer t-shirt as is. Do not alter the t-shirt in any way. i.e. “knotting” making them ride up.
Please keep cell phones out of sight and refrain from calling or texting during VBS unless there is an emergency. Please keep cell phones on vibrate mode.
Return to Worship Center by 12:05 p.m. daily. Please stay with children in the pew until parents pick them up. Release children ONLY to the guardian that presents the matching number tag to the child’s wristband. Adhere to all safety and security standards. If they do not present the number tag, they must go to Welcome Center 2. Any children who have not been picked up by 12:45 p.m. should be escorted to the front of the Worship Center. As soon as possible, please allow Preschool parent volunteers to pick up their children
Sign up for community service letters at Welcome Center 1/Volunteer Central. These can be picked up at the same location on the last day of VBS.
Make sure that you have coverage for your team in case of an emergency or required absence. Please make sure you notify your Team Leader in case of an emergency.

Sharing the Gospel: ABC’s of Becoming a Christian
“A” stands for Admit. You must admit to God that you are a sinner. You must be sorry for your sin and turn away from your sin. Verses that support this step are Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23, and 1 John 1:9.
“B” stands for Believe. You must believe that Jesus is God’s Son and that God sent Jesus to die on a cross to pay the penalty for your sin. Verses about believing include John 3:16; John 14:6; and Romans 5:8.
“C” stands for Confess. You must confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Read Romans 10:9-10, 13.
