Parents of addicted adult children share a common struggle in that their lives have been adversely affected by the actions, attitudes, and behaviors of the adult child’s addiction. These addictions may include drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, spending, and food. Addictions don’t just affect the addict, they affect the entire family. Nagging, pleading, enabling, or punishing the one who is addicted is a common theme. Most parents of addicted adult children wrongly blame themselves for the addicted child’s behavior. Feelings of hurt, anger, and despair set in. If you can relate, we invite you to meet with us on Monday evenings to share your experience and have others share their lives with you. Spiritual and emotional encouragement is offered. Meetings are held every Monday evening throughout the year. Pre-registration is not required.
